Waves Dance Company (WDC) is the competitive team of Waves of Motion Dance Center, designed for dancers who are ready to take their training, commitment, and passion for dance to the next level. Membership on WDC is by invitation and selection by the Waves of Motion faculty. We look for dancers who demonstrate strong potential, dedication, discipline, a positive attitude, and most importantly the desire and drive to grow. Our goal is to provide a supportive, challenging environment where dancers can develop their technique, performance skills, confidence, and love for the art of dance while learning what it means to be part of a team.

WDC is about much more than competition. Our dancers work hard together, celebrate each other's accomplishments, and build friendships that extend beyond the studio. Throughout the season, our team enjoys bonding events, parties, sleepovers, pool days, and opportunities to perform and participate in local community events. We believe some of the most meaningful memories are made both on and off the stage.

Waves Dance Company is organized into five divisions: Pre-Team, Petite, Junior, Teen, and Senior, offering opportunities for dancers at various stages of their competitive journey. Our program includes Technical, Hip Hop, and Tap teams, allowing dancers to train and perform in a variety of styles. WDC dancers train throughout the school year and summer, building their technique, strength, performance skills, and confidence both in and out of the studio. Our team competes at three regional competitions each year, with the opportunity to attend a National Competition every other year as part of our competition cycle.

At WDC, we believe competitive dance is about so much more than trophies. It is about working hard, challenging yourself, stepping outside your comfort zone, supporting your teammates, and learning the value of dedication and perseverance. Most importantly, we strive to help every dancer become not only the best dancer they can be, but the best version of themselves.
